Hello there lovely. This is a hodgepodge of my jewelry, other bits I've made and random trips away from the craft table. xoxo

Christmas, christmas time is near.

My mom and I went downtown to see the Christmas lights and walk around in the cold. While we were down there I picked up a bunch of pennys because I had someone commissioned five pairs of earrings from me, woo hoo! The lights were really lovely. I'm a little bah humbugy this year but they put me in the christmas spirit.
My old friend procrastination visits again.
Oh it's been a whole month of me doing stuff and not posting it, I really need to work on that. New Years resolution, stop procrastinating! Actually that is my resolution every year but I've been putting it off. I've made quite a few things this month and then forgotten to take pictures of them before they where gone, that's what I really need to work on. Let's put a pin in that.

Snow day, yay?
Sigh. Normally I would be excited for a snow day but I was supposed to be driving down to Portland to go to a book signing tonight for Amy Sedaris's new book "Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People". On the bright side I'll get to try out the pink snow boots I bought after the snowstorm two years ago. Think I'll take a walk down to the mini mart to get a Slurpee.

Oh smashed penny, we are gonna have some crazy times.
I love smashed pennies, I have planned trips around where the penny machines are. I know not everyone feels the same about them as I do. in fact my dreamtime boyfriend Paul F. Tompkins has a whole bit about his dislike of them. Dispite that I decided to share my love of the smashed penny with craft fair attendees, and if they don't like them then guess what everybody is getting for Christmas!
Lights, camera, meh

An end to needles in the couch....maybe
Whenever I sit on the couch and embroider and I have to change thread I always stick the needle in the couch or set it in my lap, then of course I spend 2-3 minutes looking for the stupid needle an hoping that I don't jam it into my thigh or accidentally step on it. I had a adjustable ring base from an old Martha Stewart craft kit I didn't finish, so I made a little pincushion out of a bit of sweater I felted and stuck it on there with apoxy. Of course now the problem is remembering to use them. I still ended up searching for a lost needle last night with the pincushion ring I forgot to put on sitting lonley on the coffee table.
I made a few more for the craft fair this weekend, we'll see if anyone else thinks they are as cute as I do.
